Mafia II Demo Impressions now out, get your tommy gun ready.

August 15th, 2010 at 12:38 AM | Misc.

Looking back I just remember one gangster based game that left an impression, which one’s that you say ? It was Mafia, the best game-play coupled with an enthralling storyline, far ahead of its generation of games.

Mafia, till date features one of the best stories in a game with the whole immersive experience. The attention to detail coupled with the amazing background score and ambiance of the 1930s is brilliantly pulled off.

Even after finishing the game, you just had to visit the city of Lost Heaven again for another round, that’s how good it was.

Apart from Starcraft II, this has got to be the second most anticipated sequel in gaming. Mafia II finally launches on August 27 (24th in the US) and we can’t wait to get our hands on the copy. For now though you can download the demo which is available for all three platforms. Today we bring you a small peak into Empire Bay and your protagonist, Vito Scaletta. Read on.

Microsoft renames Project Natal to "Kinect", on the eve of E3 2010

June 14th, 2010 at 7:57 PM | Gadgets

One of the most anticipated releases from the Microsoft Hardware Labs, the Kinect is a “controller-free gaming and entertainment experience” for the Xbox 360 video game platform. Based on an add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller through a natural user interface using gestures, spoken commands or presented objects and images. The project is aimed at broadening the Xbox 360′s audience beyond its typical gamer base.

Sunday night, Microsoft had a “World Premiere” for the then called Project Natal, which was told as the event officially began has been recristened to “Kinect”. Though I must agree its more catching.

The event also featured performance by the Cirque du Soleil. Take a look at some of the pics of the device after the break.
