The rumor mills have finally delivered, last week we saw some commotion on the Dell circuit. Now we have visual confirmation of the little brother, to the Monstrous Alienware M17X, the Alienware M14X. Read on for what makes this one special.

Reports have been coming in about customers who’ve noticed their laptop joints suffering from dislocation, cracking, snapping, and other maladies. Its days are now numbered according to an official response from the Dell Community Forums. Though exactly what that number is remains to be seen. Dell Forum Liaison Chris Mixon posted that the company is working on getting a hinge replacement program going for the M11xlaptop with “an ETA around March,” but cautions that start date is “dependent on a 3rd party vendor and other details so it is not concrete.”

Dell’s released a handy video addressing some Streak FAQs. They’re planning on going with Froyo, although it’s running Android 2.1 for now(not the archaic 1.6). Watch the video after the break.

The Dell Thunder Smartphone has an impressive set of specs that keeps us interested. What we can confirm are a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen OLED display, has the Google Android 2.1 (possible OTA upgrade to 2.2 when it’s out of BETA), and a nice 8-MP camera.

As for its UI, Dell Thunder Android Phone featuring a custom ‘STAGE’ UI, which you can use the interface to connect with your friends in the social networks such as Twitter or Facebook. For browsing ease, Dell Thunder Android Phone has included a Flash 10.1 support, which means you can watch YouTube or other web videos easily. It seems the Thunder phone also support web Hulu application, this is nice for watching online streaming movies.

Is it the ultimate Android phone out there? Well we would say NO! Although the HTC EVO-4G was not such a thrill but we would still adhere to the Nexus One and the Droid Incredible to be the best of the lot. Nevertheless, it’s a great beginning to the Dell line-up which still is short 2 more phones to be released soon.
