Samsung has finally let go of all secrets pertaining to the Galaxy Tab, we now have confirmation on various new accessories along with their pricing that too from Samsung’s own websites. Among what was spotted was the table charging station(left of image) coupled with a neat HDMI port as well as audio output ports . It’s said to be priced at €54 ($69), which we might consider expensive if it wasn’t for the keyboard peripheral costing €82 ($105). The relative bargain of the set is the leather case that doubles as a stand, asking for only €41 ($52). These prices seem to be for the Asian market, we have yet to see what will these finally cost once they aim westward.
Toshiba calls its tablets Smart pads, that was pretty much clear from its product catalog. But we can’t fathom what’s Folio 100. From the scoop of Notebook Italia we were able to ascertain it indeed is Toshiba’s Tegra-2 based Tablet. But it comes with a few surprises, namely a dock peripheral and some sketchy specs viz. Android 2.2, NVIDIA Tegra 2 , a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 screen, 16GB internal memory, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G, SD and MMC card readers, HDMI and USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 1020mAh battery with a battery life of up to 7 hours with mixed use (browsing and video playback). Software-wise, it’s got Opera mobile browser, Flash 10.1, an e-book reader, and some office applications. Details are still scarce but seeing the recent flurry of tablets it seems a good strategy for Toshiba.
