Amazon to launch its own tablet in November

Reports have been coming in from the last few months that Amazon is planning to enter the cramped and uneventful tablet space. Its all but confirmed that Amazon is indeed in the process of finalizing the software part of the Tablet which would run a very heavily customized version of Android and will launch sometime in November with a retail price of just $250. India’s fabled $35 “Sakshat” tablet may finally hit shelves by month end.

India’s often delayed and much controversial $35 “Sakshat” tablet may finally see the light of day. Although, the launch date of the device has see-sawed from the start of this year, as the government had cancelled the tender causing a delay of more than 6 months, the device will be ready to ship by the month’s end. Microsoft president of Windows division, Steven Sinofsky demoed the next Generation of Windows at the D9 conference. The first look at some of the reference platforms from AMD, Intel, ARM and NVIDIA showed a tile based interface reminiscent of Windows Phone 7 UI. Adobe Photoshop touch Apps now available for the iPad
