Microsoft revealed the new logo for Windows 8 ahead of its consumer preview event to be held on 29th, February. Microsoft Store in India hacked, user info stolen.

Its like they never learn, Microsoft India Store was hacked by a group called the Evil Shadow Team. Apart from temporarily gaining complete control over the website and showing the above image as the landing page, usernames, email addresses and passwords were stolen from several accounts and possibly the entire database of the web portal. Facebook releases “new” widescreen photoviewer, Google+ users remain nonchalant.

Facebook’s re-design of the photo-viewer is now rolling out to the masses. The design now incorporates a landscape orientation, with the comments and tag information moved to the right of the photo you are viewing. The maximum allowed image width is more than 900 pixels. In essence it allows users to scroll through more comments and respond to friends on the photo without leaving the page/profile they were on.

Google Chrome browser is now on Android

Microsoft loses 2 key execs within a span of a few weeks.

Facebook files for $5 Billion IPO

After months of speculation, Facebook has filed Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission as Facebook Inc. Although, an IPO was inevitable Facebook wasn’t under much pressure to release it just yet. The IPO reveals several numbers regarding the valuation of the company which is slated at around $100 Billion as well as current and previous earnings.
