Nexus 7 Officially Launched in India for Rs. 15,999

Google has finally blessed India with its first official Nexus device. The Nexus 7 16GB model is now available on the Google Play Store in India for Rs. 15,999. It starts shipping April 5. The 7-inch tablet has already proved its mettle by becoming the most sought after android tablet due to its specs and price.

Although the Nexus 7 16GB comes at a premium price in India but its still quite affordable compared to the iPad Mini. The specifications of the device are top notch:

  • OS: Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to v4.1.2

Let’s hope this is not the last Nexus device to hit Indian shores, we are eagerly awaiting the Nexus 4 to make rounds here as well. But its a sign of good things to come given the recent launch of Google Books in the Play Store and now the Nexus 7.
