Google Play Store Movies Purchase

Google has added the option to purchase Movies from the Play Store in India. After Books and the Nexus 7, it seems Google has begun considering India as a capable market for its products. You can purchase the latest movies like ‘The Amazing Spiderman‘ for Rs. 190 for the SD version and Rs. 490 for the HD one.

You also have the option to rent some movies both in SD and HD qualities. With over a billion people, and one of the fastest growing mobile markets, India has become one of the chief centers for development and media consumption.

Google already has a strong foothold in the Indian mobile market with the plethora of Android smartphones available, but still the country in more akin to feature phones than smartphones. With the release of Books and Movies, Google is trying to create a new ecosystem for the Indian buyer. Now we can hope that Google may release the Nexus 4 in India soon and a Music store may be in the works as well.
