Windows 8 is gaining traction among developers and some of the major players have already begun to show their faith in the new OS. Recent among them is Netflix which has released its native app for Windows 8. The app flourishes in Windows 8 style with horizontal scrolling categories and lists. Netflix has also said that the the app more efficient as it makes use of hardware acceleration in Windows 8 to cut down on both CPU and battery usage. The company has also stated that this is just the first version with “more updates and ideas in the pipeline for later this fall.” The app is now available for download on the Windows Store.
