Microsoft has begun sending out invites for the two events it will be holding this month, one on October 25 for Windows 8′s arrival along with the Surface Tablets, and the other on October 29 for Windows Phone 8. This will be the first time that many of us will get a glimpse of the final version of Windows 8 as well as the pricing of the Surface tablets. Microsoft has also planned another event for 29th October which will herald the release of Windows Phone 8, which even by Microsoft’s standards has been kept quite secretive. Last we heard, Windows Phone 8 SDK had been sent to only a few verified developers along with a non-disclosure agreement, so there might be something big there too. More on the events and more speculation after the break.

The first event on October 25 is for Windows 8 along with a “Microsoft Surface Reception.” Although we have already seen the Surface tablets but Microsoft has been mum on the pricing details of the two devices. An XBOX music announcement is also in the offing as well as subsidized or subscription based pricing for the Surface tablets. Its expected that the surface tablets as well as Windows 8 will go on sale at midnight.

Once we are through with the Windows 8 release, next comes the launch of Windows Phone 8 on October 29. The event invites us to “meet Windows Phone 8,” so we can expect a final release date, even more details on the OS and its features, and hopefully, a date for the Windows Phone 7.8 update for existing Windows Phones as well.
