Google Monday event canceled due to hurricane Sandy

Google’s Android event on Monday has been canceled due to hurricane Sandy. The search giant was going to unveil its new Nexus smartphone and possibly a 10-inch tablet at the event alongwith the new update for Android, Key Lime Pie. However, those eagerly waiting would have to wait a little longer. On Friday New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency and Waterfront Pier(the location for Google’s Event) came under the evacuation zone. Therefore, for the time being the event stands canceled and we’ll let you know when its rescheduled. But Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 event is still on schedule for Monday since its out of Sandy’s way, so why not focus on that for the moment.
