eBay has invited several users of its website residing in the San Francisco area to a new service wherein they are offering $5 same-day shipping on products from local stores. The new service called eBay Now is in Exclusive Beta at the current stage. If you get down to pricing, it only works for purchases over $25, but beta testers will get $15 off their first order through eBay Now and free shipping on their first three orders after which $5/order shipping kicks in. The app for eBay Now is only available on iOS at the present moment and will work if you have been invited to be a tester for the beta.
