This is what we were waiting for, crazy designs from manufacturers who were not afraid of taking it to the next level. Dell has unveiled the XPS 10 Tablet and the XPS Duo 12 hybrid, you can guess what we are really interested in. Well, lets get through the necessities. The XPS 10 Tablet is a Windows RT based tablet that runs on an unspecified ARM processor and promises 20 hours of battery life. Now, lets talk about meat of the story, the XPS Duo 12 right after the break.

By now you must be wondering, where have you seen this design before ? Well, its from another Dell tablet/laptop hybrid called the Inspiron Duo. Though the Inspiron Duo had a tough time at release due to an under-powered Atom processor, bad screen, finicky touch on Windows 7 and more.

This time around Dell is hoping to change all that. The new XPS Duo 12 features a 12.5-inch Full HD touch display, which when closed looks like any other XPS laptop complete with a backlit keyboard, machined aluminum built and carbon fiber surrounding the display. But the hybrid part is that to turn it into a tablet, you don’t detach the keyboard, but literally just flip the display around and close it over the keyboard. The design is both intriguing and awesome. You’ll have options to choose upto an Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor and will be released after October 26. What remains to be seen is whether Dell has learned from the mistakes of the Inspiron Duo and made the design more sturdy. And before we forget here’s the XPS 10 tablet.
