Android 2.3.4 update adds video chat to GTalk for Nexus S

Google has started pushing the Android 2.3.4 update to its Nexus S flagship phone, adding the highly anticipated feature of voice and video calling within GTalk. This feature has been on e of the most desired ones for the platform. Keep reading past the break for the demo video.

This brings Google’s GTalk in direct competition with Apple Facetime.  While Facetime allows users to connect only via WiFi, GTalk wold allow a connection over both 3G as well as WiFi. 

You can easily call your friends on GMail or Google Talk for free while Apple charges $ 0.99 for the Facetime App.


The update will start rolling out to the Nexus S over the next few weeks while it will be available for the rest sometime in the future.
